ECoR to introduce new trains

BHUBANESWAR: East Coast Railway (ECoR) will introduce eight new trains, extension of two trains and increase in frequency of two trains from July 1.

The railway division will also speed up of seven trains and effect change in timings for seven trains under its jurisdiction from the said date.

One new bi-weekly Garib Rath Super Fast Express train will be introduced between Puri and Howrah. The 2882 Puri-Howrah Garib Rath Super Fast Express train will leave Puri at 10.00 pm on every Monday and Wednesday and will arrive Howrah at 07.05a.m on the next days, the ECoR said in a press statement here.

Similarly, one new bi-weekly super fast express train will be introduced between Bhubaneswar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). “2880 Bhubaneswar - LTT Super Fast Express train will leave Bhubaneswar at 7.20 am on every Monday and Thursday and will arrive LTT at 01.35 pm on the next days,” it said

On the return direction, 2879 LTT-Bhubaneswar Super Fast Express would leave LTT at 00.15 am on every Wednesday and Saturday (Midnight of Tuesday and Friday) and would arrive Bhubaneswar at 7.10 am on the next days, the release said.

The frequency of Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Rajdhani express was decided to run as tri-weekly in the new Time Table which will notify later, ECR said.

It added seven trains had been sped up in the new timetable including the timings of 14 trains at different stations had been changed. It included Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Intercity Express, Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express, Okha-Puri Express, Sambalpur-Puri Intercity Express and Raipur-Bhubaneswar Express.
