Tomoto prices crash, farmers protest

KOLAR: Scores of farmers, who had been to Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee here on Monday to sell tomato, staged a protest against crash in price of tomato. “With 14 kg box of tomato fetching only Rs. 10 to Rs. 15, farmers are in distress. The Government should come to the rescue of the farmers,” Kempanna, who led the agitation, said.
