Oken Singh in final

BANGALORE: Oken Singh outpunched Chandra in the semifinal of the bantam weight class of the seventh State senior and sub-junior boxing tournament at the Sree Kanteerva Stadium. The referee stopped the contest in the first round as Oken landed a flurry of punches on the hapless Chandra.

The results: Seniors: Feather wt: Sarath bt Arjun Rao; Vincent Paul bt Sunil; Light welter: Syed Mansoor bt HK Sharma (RSC, Ist round); Satish Kumar bt Ravi Kumar (RSC, Ist Round). Semifinals: Bantam wt: Oken Singh bt Chandra (RSC, Ist round); Prashanth bt Fazil; Light wt: Anand bt Vasanth Kumar; Light welter: Devendar bt Anil Kumar; Welter wt: Harish bt Sanyasi rao; Dharamveer bt Somashekar.

Middle wt: Prashanth Patil bt Abrar Ahmed; Parviz Ahmed bt Jagadish.

Lightheavy wt: Satish bt S Singh. Heavy wt: Ravindra bt K.M. Ganesh.

Kho-kho tournament
