Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has decided to provide a special package of assistance to the families of the Greyhounds who lost their lives during the combing operations in the Chitrakonda reservoir area of Orissa. Information Minister A. Ramnarayan Reddy told reporters that the package provides for allotment of 200 sq yards of house site each to the families of the slain Greyhounds in Ranga Reddy district or at any other place of their choice in the State.

This is in addition to payment of an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 to 10 lakh each, depending on the rank of the deceased, a government job to one eligible member and free education to children in the family.
