Indore: A clerk working in the Government’s Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital and one of the four nabbed in the inter-State kidney racket busted recently at Ujjain was suspected to have played significant role in preparing fake documents in the matter. Dilip Chauhan was one of the four arrested on June 27 at Ujjain for his alleged invo-lvement in the racket, which has created ripples in the Hospital as also among the Police Department, sources said. They also disclosed that the accused used to lure poor labourers into selling their kidneys for a huge amount. Those in need of kidney transplant to save the lives of their loved ones used to pay hefty amount in exchange of the organ through fake documents, they added. Meanwhile, the MY Hospital, which was considering departmental action against Chauhan, said that his activities have been “suspicious” from the very beginning. It has been because of this reason, he was removed once from MY Hospital, they said adding that earlier, Chauhan was working in the Dean’s Office at the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Indore. -- PTI
