Two hacked to death in Kurnool

KURNOOL: Two persons were hacked to death after a hot chase near Allagadda in Kurnool district on Monday.

Resembling the Kappatralla murders, the assailants immobilised the victims by hitting their two-wheeler with a Tata Sumo from behind at W. Kothapalli.

The victims identified as Dastagiri Reddy, Y. Sekhar Reddy and Hussain Reddy, all hailing from W.Kothapalli were going on a motorbike when the assailants numbering about 10 chased them in a Tata Sumo and hit their vehicle on the outskirts of the village. Soon after the bike riders fell down, the assailants attacked them with sickles and inflicted grievous injuries.

While Dastagiri Reddy died on the spot Sekhar Reddy died on the way to hospital. The victims were Congress supporters and the assailants belonged to the TDP.
