Special allowance for contract nurses

BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Government on Monday decided to pay special allowance and dress allowance to staff nurses engaged on contract basis.

According to resolution issued from the Health and Family Welfare Department, staff nurses, who are presently engaged on contract basis are getting Rs 4,500 per month towards their remuneration. Now they will they will get special allowance of Rs 1500 per month while continuing with their consolidated remuneration of Rs. 4,500 per month. It will applicable to contract staff nurses working in State and district headquarters and medical college hospitals.

However, such contract staff nurses working in other locations of the State will get allowance of Rs 2000 per month. Further the Government decided to pay a dress allowance of Rs 1500 per annum as uniform is mandatory to their services. The order will take immediate effect, said a release.
