56 panchayat chiefs on tour

A total of 56 village panchayat presidents from eight districts have embarked on an exposure visit to Coimbatore and the Nilgiris districts till July 4.

The local body leaders would visit the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Odanthurai village in Coimbatore district, which has been declared a model village which has pioneered in exploiting non-conventional energy sources.
