CPI (M) plea to TNHB on sale of land

CHENNAI: The State committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has appealed to Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) authorities to drop its move for tender-cum-auction to sell land available with the Board for school, parks and playgrounds.

In a statement, State secretary N. Varadarajan wanted the government to take immediate steps to ensure that the TNHB did not go ahead with the plan. — Special Correspondent
