Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Public Works Mons Joseph on Monday directed officials in his department to remove the construction materials and debris piled up on the traffic island at the Althara junction.

Media reports

The Minister who visited the site following media reports, found the place piled high with tar barrels and bitumen. Cultural personalities and music lovers had expressed outrage over the disrespect to legendary music director G. Devarajan whose bust adorns the traffic island.
