This Day That Age
The three-man World Bank team, led by Mr. L. Bengstan, arrived in New Delhi on June 30 for talks with the Indian Government on Pakistan’s complaint regarding the short supply of water from the rivers Sutlej and Beas. The team flew over the Bhakra Canal system and the area fed by the Gang canal in Bikaner on June 30 before coming to Delhi. Formal talks will commence on July 1.
