Naidu’s effort to save UNPA
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Perturbed by reports that Samajwadi Party is gravitating towards Congress, United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) convenor, N. Chandrababu Naidu has rushed two of his emissaries to New Delhi to try and ensure that the nascent political grouping remains intact.
TDP Parliamentary Party leader, K. Yerran Naidu and former MP, K. Ramamohana Rao, flew to Delhi, significantly two days before the crucial meeting of the UNPA on July 3 to be attended by Mr. Naidu. They got down to the business immediately and held confabulations with the CPI (M) general secretary Prakash Karat and then the Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Now on “Mee Kosam” yatra, Mr. Naidu on Tuesday said a clear situation was yet to emerge on elections to Lok Sabha.
