Mob damages State college
ADILABAD: Police used mild caning at Talamadugu mandal head quarter village on Tuesday to disperse a mob of farmers who caused damage to the Government junior college building where the stock of fertilizer for the mandal was kept. Farmers from some villages in the mandal had gathered at Talamadugu for receiving the fertilizer in the morning.
Due to paucity of stocks at the DAP most of the farmers failed to get the required quantity of the fertilizer. This triggered off a protest by the farmers.
Meanwhile, farmers staged a rasta roko on NH 7 near Punjab hotel chowk in Adilabad town demanding adequate supply of fertilizer. The TRS supported the protest.
