Ex-police officer questioned in Aarushi case
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday queried K.K. Gautam, the retired police officer, who discovered the body of dentist Rajesh Talwar’s domestic help Hemraj on the terrace of his Sector 25 house in Noida, to reconstruct the crime scene.
The agency questioned Mr. Gautam for over three hours seeking information about the condition in which Hemraj’s body was discovered a day after Aarushi was found murdered. He was also asked to describe the position in which it was lying on the terrace. Mr. Gautam said as no pictures of Hemraj’s body were taken soon after it was found, the CBI was looking for details to help it reconstruct the crime scene properly. “As I am an eyewitness so far as the discovery of Hemraj’s body is concerned, they contacted me for more information about the crime scene,” said Mr. Gautam, praising the agency for conducting meticulous investigations in the case.
