VIJAYAWADA: Durga Prasad’s 87 helped West Godavari declare its innings at 284 for seven declared in 87 overs against Prakasam in the two-day ACA Central Zone under-19 inter-district cricket tournament for the Koka Ranga Rao Memorial Trophy here on Tuesday. In another match, Krishna, after scoring 182 for five in the first innings, restricted Guntur to 82 for five in 29 overs. The scores: Krishna 182 in 59 overs (Ch. Ramesh 59, Rishi Choudary 52, B. Sudhakar three for 44) vs. Guntur 82 for five in 29 overs; West Godavari 284 for seven in 87 overs (P. Durga Prasad 87, Timothy 50 n.o., Satya Anvesh 44) vs. Prakasam one for one in one over. Selection trialsTrials to select the Krishna district under-14 team to take part in the ACA Central Zone under-14 inter-district cricket tournament will be held on July 5 at the Siddhartha Medical College grounds at 1 p.m. Players born on or after September 1, 1994 are eligible, the Krishna District Cricket Association Secretary, Koka Ramesh, said here on Tuesday.
