Nedumbassery: Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi on Tuesday accused the Left parties of sticking to a “cold war mindset” over the nuclear deal and said that they were misleading the public by linking the 123 agreement with the approval to be granted from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He urged them to have faith in the democratic set-up of the country and in its Parliament. Mr. Ravi said if the NDA came to power, it would enter into the agreement even without the approval of Parliament. On the abduction of P.K. Abhilash by Sudanese tribals, Mr. Ravi said the Centre was committed to ensuring his early release and would take all possible steps in this regard.
