‘Keep off sensationalism’

BANGALORE: Governor Rameshwar Thakur has asked media organisations to write on weaker sections of society rather than being carried away by glitz. Speaking at the fifth annual award ceremony of Communication for Development and Learning, he said that some newspapers were diluting content for the sake of sensationalism. The Governor presented the “Mentor Award-2008” to Ravindra Kumar, Editor of Statesman. — Staff Reporter
