Officials to visit school

Bangalore: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri has said that he has directed the officials concerned, including the Deputy Director of Public Instruction, to visit the school which collapsed in Bellary district. “All senior officials have visited the spot. Our main intention was first to rescue the other children and ensure no one is hurt. The Government will award compensation to the victims’ families,” he said.

The Minister said that he had directed officials to study the infrastructure in all schools and submit a report to the Government.
