K. Balchand

PATNA: In less than 10 days of the murder of an officer in the Bihar government, another gazetted officer of the State government was found murdered in his residence along with his wife. The two murders came to light only on Wednesday morning.

The secretary of the Patna Municipal Corporation, S.M. Alam, and his wife, Nasreen Bano, were found murderedin their home in Haroon Nagar colony under Phulwarisharif police station. It was their daughter who first noticed the brutal killing when she woke up in the morning. The police have lodged an FIR and are investigating the murders from all angles though the killers had sought to make it look like a case of dacoity. Their bodies were found on the bed and bore grievous injuries.

On June 22,, the Block Development Officer of Ariari Block in Sheikhpura district, Arvind Kumar Mishra, was shot dead in his home.
