Check Point tools for SMEs

Anand Parthasarathy

BANGALORE: The Israel and U.S.-based Internet security provider, Check Point, has entered the Indian market with an ecosystem of data and network security solutions that obviate the need for trained technology personnel to run it. Keeping in view the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) here, Check Point is launching its flagship tools for universal threat management (UTM) including Check Point Power and UTM-1 where the core functions are performed by dedicated hardware.

However, the customer can experience flexibility and control through software, explained Bhaskar Bhakthavatsalu, Check Point’s Country Sales Manager for India and SAARC, at the launch event here on Wednesday. The solutions provide high throughput of up to 14 giga bits per second and the price performance ratio is a compelling $4 per mbps, the company’s engineers explained.
