HYDERABAD: Winger Adarsh struck four goals, including a hat-trick, to guide STC (Bangalore) to a thumping 15-0 win over STC (Kurnool) in the South Zone Sports Authority of India inter-STC hockey tournament at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Wednesday. Adarsh scored all his goals in the first half. Thimmanna, N. S. Kawar and Nikin scored thrice each, while Ratan (2) completed the tally for the winner. In another match, STC (Secunderabad) recorded an easy 7-2 win over STC (Eluru) after leading 4-0 at the break. Ch. Avinash, Aravind and Ashok scored a brace each and Durgaprasad once for the Secunderabad team. Mahender scored twice for Eluru. Kaushik scores winnerJSN College defeated St. Mary’s College 3-2, via sudden-death, in the Sachdev Sports Cup inter-collegiate football tournament, organised by Shastri Soccer Club, at Trimulgherry grounds here. The teams were locked goalless at full-time. In the tie-breaker too, Rahul and Manoj scored for JSN, while Suraj and Sandeep scored for St. Mary’s to take the issue into sudden-death.
