A charity contest

BANGALORE: Here is a chance for schoolchildren to do their bit for the less privileged and earn a reward for it.
Humanitarian Hands, a social service group, is conducting a Humanitarian Network Championship for students from classes 7 to 10.
As many as 38 schools in the city have confirmed their participation.
The teams will be provided a list of hospitals, charitable homes and slums to choose from for their project.
Each school team will comprise a minimum of 10 members and maximum of 20.
The teams will work on the project till July 31 and submit their project report on how they have served those suffering and in need.
Ten teams will be short-listed for the grand finale on August 15 and the winner and runner-up will be awarded a cash prize Rs. 1.25 lakh in all.
