Bombs explode in house
Staff Reporter
PIDUGURALLA (GUNTUR DT.): A day after country bombs exploded in a house at Pinnelli village in Machavaram mandal, a team of forensic department personnel visited the area and collected the material. Police said that they could recover traces of raw material used for making the bombs.
The police identified the house as that of Jeerla Ankamma, a farm labourer, who had gone missing since the incident which occurred on Tuesday evening.
Fortunately, there was no one inside the house.
The ceiling of the house was blown up. A gas cylinder too exploded under the impact.
Piduguralla Inspector of Police P. Seetharamaiah said that the bombs might have been placed some time back and ruled out the faction angle in the incident. He said that the village had been incident-free for the past four years and added that the police were trying to trace the woman.
