Truckers strike

ADILABAD: Supply of fertilizers to various parts of the district suffered on Wednesday due to lorry strike that began at midnight with the estimated 7,000 lorries staying off the roads. President of the lorry owners’ welfare association, Adilabad said the strike was total in all parts of the district. The agitating transporters are demanding stopping collection of turnover tax and toll tax from lorry owners and rolling back diesel price. -Staff Reporter
