Thrissur: A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving collided with a private bus at Muthuvara, near here, on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Akbar of Karuvarakkunnu in Orumanayur. Rehman, 35, of Rayamarikkar House in Kakkassery; Mumtaz, 35; Faseeh, 22; and Fazini, 19 – all relatives of Akbar – who were travelling in the car and a bus passenger, Sarojini, 42, were injured. They have been hospitalised. The condition of two of them is reported to be serious. The police said the incident occurred around 2 p.m. Akbar’s body was laid to rest at the Orumanayur Thaikkavu Masjid.
