Central schemes reviewed

KORAPUT: Orissa is lagging behind in the utilization of funds in the flagship programmes of the Central Government, V. Narayan Swamy, Union Minister of State for Planning, said while speaking to the media in the circuit house here on Wednesday. While there was no shortage of funds for implementation of programmes like NREGA and PMGSY, the State Government had failed to transfer the benefits to the grassroots, he said.

He reviewed the progress of such programmes in Koraput and Nabarangpur districts.
