2 killed, 50 injured in accident

AMBUR: Two persons were killed and 50 others injured when a town bus fell into a pit at Balur near Ambur on Wednesday.

The police said the bus with over 120 passengers was coming from Odukathoor to Ambur when the driver lost control of the vehicle while driving through a deeply bended area.

The bus fell into a nearby pit and its front portion was fully damaged. The injured were admitted to hospitals at Ambur and Gudiyatham. — Staff Reporter
