Enumeration for voter cards soon

BANGALORE: The Election Commission of India will start the process for enumeration for issuing Electors Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) in 28 Assembly constituencies in Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike and Bangalore Urban district.

State Chief Electoral Officer M.N. Vidyashankar told The Hindu that about 50 per cent of the voters in these constituencies had been given the cards and the enumeration would begin soon for the rest of the voters.

Mr. Vidyashankar said about 27 lakh to 28 lakh voters would be covered under the drive.

Those voters who were not covered under the enumeration done the last time could get registered by submitting details on Form 6. Corrections to the names and other details could also be done, he added.
