R. Krishnan and Naresh Kumar of India beat the men’s doubles title holders G. Mulloy and B. Patty, in the Wimbledon tennis championships in London on July 2. The Indian pair won their third round match by 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5. They were given a great ovation by the tightly-packed centre court crowd. Australians Ashley Cooper (21) and left-hander Neale Fraser (24), both of Melbourne, on July 2 won through to the men’s singles final.
