Samarth, Sajeel slam centuries

BANGALORE: Host Bishop Cotton crushed Vidya Niketan High School 170 runs and entered the final of the Cottonian Shield inter-School Twenty20 cricket tournament here.

Unbeaten centuries by Samarth (104) and Sajeel (109) helped Bishop Cotton pile up 229 for no loss in 20 overs and Vidyaniketan, in reply, was bundled out for 59.

Bishop Cotton meets Presidency School in the final to be played on July 7.

The scores: Bishop Cotton BHS 229 for no loss in 20 overs (Samarth 104 n.o., Sajeel 109 n.o.) bt Vidyanikietan 59 in 16.5 overs; Presidency HS 165 for three in 20 overs (Imran 74, Amaraj 48) bt FAPS 111 for four in 20 overs.
