Woman, two children found dead in water tank

Staff Reporter

NARSARAOPET: The police recovered the bodies of a woman and her two daughters a day after they were found drowned in a water tank in Lingamguntla village under suspicious circumstances. The deceased were identified as Nagalakshmi, Sharmeeshma (4) and Divyasri (1).

The tragedy unfolded on Tuesday as the woman along with her two daughters was found drowned in a water tank. Relatives of the deceased alleged that her husband Konda Reddy was behind the incident as Lakshmi had been subjected to physical and mental torture since the birth of girl children.

Lakshmi was married to Konda Reddy in 2003 and the couple had two children. Relatives alleged that the husband squandered money and the property given as dowry. He allegedly began to harass his wife when they did not have money to spend.
