It pays not to buy property at times
With the spectre of Metro Rail project looming large over horizon, several property owners in the city have begun having butterflies in their stomachs.
The ephemeral quality of the urban property is already there for everyone to see what with the GHMC lumbering ahead with its demolition spree and the HUDA acquiring vast stretches of land for its various projects.
Many dutiful citizens had to pay hefty fines in recent times for being too naive in allowing themselves into the traps of erring builders.
The only ones probably chuckling to themselves are those who have not bought any property within the city limits. Yet another manifestation of the proverbial fools who build houses and of wise men who live in them!
