Hyderabad: The Freedom Foundation, an NGO that is working for HIV infected persons will now have AIDS testing equipment thanks to the joint effort made by Rotary Club of Secunderabad and its international partner, Rotary Club of North Sydney, Australia.
The equipment was donated by the club under its ‘Matching Grant Project’ for HIV/AIDS on Thursday. The equipment -- Elisa Reader and Elisa Washer -- will determine the presence of the virus. In addition to this, an ambulance van, oxygen plant, ECG and ACs were also donated. “The vehicle will be installed with oxygen equipment and other amenities so that HIV/AIDS patients can be transported to the respective hospitals,” said D.N. Gauri of Rotary Club.
“This equipment will help our staff serve children and adults better ,” said General Manager, Operations, Freedom Foundation, Christopher Skill.
