Nuclear deal will come through: Sen
Silicon Valley: The stalled New Delhi-Washington nuclear deal will ultimately be “consummated,” says Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Ronen Sen, voicing confidence that the two countries will find a way out to overcome “some hiccups” in their strategic ties.
Speaking at the 26th annual convention of the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) in Las Vegas, he said the deal was important not only for economic development but also because of India’s energy constraints.
Mr. Sen was quoted as telling AAPI members that their efforts to lobby for the deal would not go in vain.
Strategic partnership
Pointing out that India-U.S. ties covered everything from the mango to the moon, Mr. Sen said the relationship was more broad-based and comprehensive than India’s relationship with any other country, according to an AAPI release. It could truly be called a strategic partnership. “And, I look forward to the future of this relationship with confidence,” he said. — PTI
