Kempaiah dead

New Delhi: Former Olympian footballer Mariappa Kempaiah died in Bangalore on Wednesday. Kempaiah is survived by wife and two sons. He was 75. Kempaiah represented the country in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics where India finished fourth, the 1958 Tokyo Asian Games and the 1960 Rome Olympics. — PTI
