Budget session from July 17

Bangalore: The Budget session of the Karnataka legislature will commence on July 17 and Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who is also Finance Minister, will present a fresh State Budget on the same day at 12 noon according to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat here. A vote-on-account budget valid for four months (until July 31) was earlier presented in the Lok Sabha during the President’s Rule in the State. The budget session will conclude on July 31. Further programmes relating to the legislature session , if any, would be announced later, it was said. — Special Correspondent
