Homage paid to Umerali Thangal

MALAPPURAM: Sunni leader and Wakf Board chairman Sayed Umerali Shihab Thangal, 66, who died here on Thursday night, was buried at the Shihab family graveyard at Panakkad, near here, on Friday.

The burial was witnessed by thousands. Umerali’s elder brother and State president of the Indian Union Muslim League Syed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal led the final prayers.
