BANGALORE: British champion Rajeev Ouseph, who arrived here on Thursday, began his training stint at the Tata Padukone Badminton Academy. Ouseph, who is of Indian descent, is a former European junior champion and no stranger to the Padukone Academy as he had trained here three years ago. “I am glad to be back and the training here suits my style,” said Ouseph. Another reason that brought him here was the lack of good sparring partners in England where players concentrate more on doubles. Ouseph will be at the Academy for a month. The foreign wards at the TPBA will get a welcome break when they head to Coorg on Saturday. The players are also set to play an exhibition tie at Mandya on Sunday before returning to the Academy. — Special Correspondent
