‘Surrendered Maoists must be given jobs’

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi suggested that surrendered Maoists be provided employment on the basis of their qualifications by upgrading their skills, which facilitates proper rehabilitation. Maoists who eschew violence would be provided one acre of land each, own houses and ration cards to enable them to lead a peaceful life, he said in a meeting with the Superintendent of Police Y. Nagi Reddy recently.

On the occasion, Mr. Dwivedi said the government would also help the members of families of Maoists who come out of the banned outfit, in whatever means is possible. He instructed the officials concerned to facilitate self-employment of N.Suresh, N.Peddabbai and other Maoists who surrendered recently.
