CHANDIGARH: Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, has issued the admission schedule for its two-year MBA programme for the upcoming new academic year 2008-09. An official spokesman said students having a Bachelor or Post-Graduate degree in any discipline with not less than 50 per cent marks in aggregate either in the Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate degree of Maharshi Dayanand University or an examination recognised as equivalent by the University are eligible to apply for the MBA programme. The eligibility for students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is minimum pass marks in their degree exams. Students who have appeared in the final exams conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Cost and Works Accounting of India and Institute of Company Secretaries would also be eligible for applying to the programme. Admission to MBA (General) in the Institute of Management Studies and Research, MBA (Business Economics) in the Department of Business Economics, MBA International Business at the Institute of Law and Management Studies in Gurgaon would be made on the basis of inter-se merit of highest composite score obtained by a candidate in any of the four valid MATs conducted by AIMA in September 2007, December 2007, February 2008 and May 2008. The prospectus is available in the University and can also be downloaded from www.mdurohtak.com The last date for submitting applications is July 21 at the office of the Director, Institute of Management Studies and Research of the University.
