Pranab will reply to Left

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Friday said Pranab Mukherjee, convener of the United Progressive Alliance-Left committee on nuclear deal, will reply to the Left parties’ letter asking the government to clarify whether it would proceed with seeking the approval of the IAEA on the India-U.S. nuclear agreement.

The convener received the letter. “Naturally we will reply. The Left parties are our partners. It is our responsibility to reply. The government will clarify,” Congress spokesman and Minister of State for Home Shakeel Ahmed said here. He was, however, non-committal on the timing of the reply.
