CHENNAI: V. Ganga Sridhar Raju’s unbeaten century helped Santhome top Group ‘A’ and qualify for the semifinals of the Sumeru Soft under-16 inter-school cricket tournament here. Chettinad Vidyashram, which suffered a 10-wicket loss to Santhome, also entered the semifinals after finishing second in Group ‘A.’ The scores: Chettinad Vidyashram 156 in 49.5 overs (M. Kunal 28, R. Mohan Babu 49, S. Selva three for 24) lost to Santhome HSS 159 for no loss in 23.5 overs (V. Ganga Sridhar Raju 101 n.o., S. Selva 43 n.o.). Vidya Mandir (Mylapore) 230 for eight in 50 overs (C. Avinash 42, Anirudh Raghavan 34, L.S. Vedant 61 n.o., V.S. Akshay 25, Mukund Muralidharan five for 42) bt Jawahar Vidyalaya 166 in 50 overs (Karthik Narayanan 69).
