PUDUCHERRY: The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development has nominated S.A. Abbasi of Pondicherry University to the Board of Governors of IIT, Roorkee. According to a release, Professor Abbasi has been nominated on a three-year term with immediate effect. He has received several awards including the Fellowship of the National Academy of Sciences in 2003, and National Hydrology Award in 1995.
