KOCHI: Oriental Insurance Company, in association with MyTVS, has launched a round-the-clock emergency road assistance scheme for policy holders. In case of emergency, one has to dial the toll-free helpline number provided by the company. The assistance includes towing, cab arrangement and arrangement of emergency fuel, a press release issued by the companies said. The insurance company had authorised MyTVS workshops for providing cashless claim settlements for their policyholders, in case of accidents, according to Oriental Insurance Company Limited general manager A.K. Saxena and MyTVS vice-president (services) Girish Paliath. The value-added service is provided free of cost, Mr. Saxena said. It is available for private cars and passenger cars which are less than 10 years old. The insurance company had a customer base of more than 1.5 lakh in the State, he said. The service was launched in Tamil Nadu last month. It will be extended to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka within two months, he added.
