KORAPUT: It was the second day of car festival at Jeypore in Koraput district on Saturday and tradition played the magic stick on the crowd which was grown in numbers as the day progressed on the main road. . A lot has been said about the culture and tradition initiated by the kings of Jeypore kingdom. But the smaller chariot that followed the main chariot all these years has, however, failed to experience equal recognition from the organisers of the festival . However, this would now be discussed during next year’s preparatory meeting of the festival, Manoj Samantara, a cultural researcher from the town said . The smaller chariot was added to the journey of the main chariot to the Sri Gundicha temple in the town when the king had shifted his palace from Purunagad to Jeypore, he added.
