Farm labourers want to begin job work

Sangareddy: The Andhra Pradesh Vyavasaya Karmika Sangham (APVKS), Medak district unit, organised a rally at the district Collectorate and a dharna demanding the immediate commencement of the Employment Guarantee Programme. The farm labour demanded the presence of the project director of the District Water Management Agency (DWMA) to resolve pending issues. They demanded the distribution of job cards, and the payment of arrears. Project director Jagannadham assured the agitating labourers that works would be identified and the arrears paid within a week.
