NEW DELHI: Monsoon has been vigorous in east Uttar Pradesh and active in west Uttar Pradesh.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttarakhand and at isolated places in the rest of the region except west Rajasthan where weather was mainly dry. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: HARYANA: Chandigarh 6, Ambala A.P.2 and Ambala 1, HIMACHAL PRADESH: Berthin, Kahu and Nahan 3 each, Dharamshala, Guler and Solan 2 each and Nadaun, Nagrota Surian and Sujanpur Tira 1 each, PUNJAB: Mukerian 4 and Amritsar 1, EAST RAJASTHAN: Rajakhera 3, Dholpur (T) 2 and Baseri and Sapu 1 each, EAST UTTAR PRADESH: Kanpur F.M. 26, Kanpur A.P. 12, Hamirpur F.M. 10, Dalmau and Hamirpur F.M. 9 each, Chillaghat 8, Banda, Gonda F.M., Kakrahi and Lucknow 7 each, Sultanpur 6, Chandradeepghat, Hanuman Setu, Mirzapur F.M. and Sultanpur F.M. 5 each, Ayodhya, Balrampur F.M., Khadda and Raebareilly 4 each, Bani F.M., Birdghat, Elginbridge, Gazirpur F.M., Katerniaghat and Varanasi city 3 each, Allahabad, Bansi F.M., Gorakhpur and Neemsar 2 each and Bahraich, Hardoi, Mukhlispur, Turtipar, Phaphamau and Gazirpur 1 each, WEST UTTAR PRADESH: Shahjina 10, Kalpi F.M. 5, Aligarh 3, Moradabad 2 and Agra, Meerut and Jhansi 1 each and UTTARAKHAND: Dehradun 2 and Dehradun F.M. and Rishikesh 1 each.
