Nominated to advisory board

PUDUKOTTAI: N. Thangam Moorthy, president of the Pudukottai town unit of the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers’ Association, has been nominated member of the Sahitya Akademi’s Tamil Advisory Board. The membership will last till December 2012. A communication in this regard has been received by Mr. Moorthy from the Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Agraha Krishna Murthy. The role of the Advisory Board is to recommend programmes in the language concerned and also to assist and advise the Akademi in its various activities.
