Party to be floated with TMMK’s support

CHENNAI: A political party will be floated with the support of the Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the executive committee of the TMMK here on Saturday.
“Drop Nuclear deal”
The meeting demanded that the Union Government drop the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal, and set aside 10 per cent of the Central government jobs for the Muslims, as recommended by the Misra Committee. Some schools and higher education institutions in the State were refusing to implement the 3.5 per cent reservation for backward class Muslims, announced by the Government. So, the Government should act against them, it said.
