Police counsel students against ragging

SANGAREDDY: Medak police organised a counselling session with the senior engineering students at the Kahsipur based DVR College of Engineering and Technology on Saturday on the repercussions of ragging of first year students.
The team consisting of Circle Inspector Rangan Goud and rural Sub Inspector Harschandra Reddy visited the college and explained them he provisions of the Ragging Act. The police told the students that few moments of fun could lead them to almost ten years of imprisonment. Police advised the seniors to learn how to respect the feelings of others in order to become responsible citizens.
College Principal Laxmipathi explained that the college has been adopting a zero tolerance policy towards ragging. The police is also planning to organize another such session at the MNR medical college on the Narsapur road.
